we hope, many czech Astromoers come to visit us also in 2014.

Special thanks goes to Martin, who again filmed the HTT-camp at day and night, from ground and from the air and naturally also the clear sky over our heads...

Martin also made fantastic air pictures with his quadrocopter, here are 3 excerpts.
They show, that we again had over 300 visitors although it was the "to date moistest HTT" [René, mikuneko]:

Eposures: 48x5min L, 3x(12x5min) RGB
Telescope: William Optics 98 FLT Alu + TS 0,79x PhotoLine FF/FR
Mount: HEQ5 Syntrek (Belt mod)
CCD Camera: Atik 383L+
Guiding: 8x50 Finder QHY5
Filters: Baader LRGB CCD 1,25"
Programs used: MaxImDL (mount/camera control), Regim (calibrate, normalize, register, stack), Excalibrator (RGB color balance), PS (final touch)

One could observe 3 out of 5 HTT-nights, here some photon-results from Stefan:

The arc of the milky way over the Elsterland-observatory, north direction.

Occasionally there were some cloud veils and misty shroud crossing at the horizon, else the views (except for high humidity) were clear, so at least the inner, bright zodiacal beam could be detected visually and photographically.

And now some daylight-impressions from the 15. HTT:

Comfort is king at the HTT...

... one had brought along their favorite colored umbrella...

... others presented grandma's living room lamp...

... .. also at the Mendener Pavilion comfort was king...

Also emitting comfort, but at first friendly and delicately presented: Rogers coffee and cake offering, not to mention their breakfast and nightly H-alpha-bar.

The HTT pinboard: "... 20inch dobson to sell - from Crister, the swedish man...

No HTT without Erhards 42inch-skygun...
but this time he got support from Kai and Raffael in the category "monster dobson":

In front Olag Hofschulz with his son, left in the back the 30inch of Raffael from federal state of Schleswig Holstein (new painted in the swedish national colors?) and right in the back the 33inch from Kai coming from the Ore Mountains.

All parts self-made, one notice the very thin main-mirror at the borders (in comparison with the diameter of the thumb to the right) - the whole system is a unique masterpiece from Kai - chapeau!

Michael Möckel (head of our observatory, standing at the left) is greeting his american friend and supernova-hunter Tim Pucket(second from right) from Georgia, USA - at the most right stands Christopher Hay from Scotland. Impressed by the organization and flair of the HTT, he said yes to translate from english to german, which turned out to be good, because fast spoken american english isn't easy to understand...

Another unselfish service of the 15.HTT:
Ralf Szymkowiak from Astrotreff Niederrhein came with his mobile technical shop (the car with the Logo IMTECH) and was able to help several astronomers - a great idea.
Many other astronomers again supported us unselfishly, a few names here: Karsten Walzel, Rainer Baehr, Uwe Pilz, Robert Zebahl, René Merting, Thomas Heising, Andreas Schnabel...
This people make our star party a special one.

Some had a stressful travel, after the arrival at the HTT they fall in sleep while unpacking their stuff... [;)]

Nevím kam tu smutnou zprávu napsat...
V noci na pátek zemřel předseda a duše Herzberger Teleskoptreffen Ralf Hofner. Nebylo mu ani 54 let. Středoevropská amatérská astronomie ztratila velkou osobnost a skromného člověka! :'(
Ačkoliv jsme jeho němčině moc nerozuměli (a on té naší), nikdy nás nezapoměl na HTT osobně přivítat a prohodit pár milých slov. Příští Herzberger bude opravdu smutný.

To je velká škoda, bohužel v poslední době je těch umrtí lidí co jsem znal osobně příliš mnoho, nevím co se to děje.
